How to open an Oregon State Credit Union account

Opening an account at Oregon State Credit Union is convenient and easy at any nearby branch or online.

To begin, you must be eligible for membership. From there, you can enjoy the benefits of being an Oregon State Credit Union member-owner if you are:

  • At least 18 years of age (or have a parent or legal guardian be joint)
  • A U.S. citizen or resident alien with a U.S. mailing address

To open your account, you’ll need the following:

  • U.S. Social Security number
  • Valid identification, including: driver’s license, state or military identity, or passport
  • 2nd piece of ID to confirm identity. This could be any of the following:
  1. City, State, or government-issued form of ID.
  2. Credit or Debit card from another financial institution
  3. Veteran’s Administration Medical Card
  4. Oregon Trail Card
  5. Social Security card
  6. School ID with photo
  7. Birth Certificate or certified copy
  8. DMV vehicle registration
  9. Employee ID card
  10. W-2 from most recent tax year
  11. Direct deposit form that is signed by employer
  12. Signed medical insurance card
  13. Direct deposit form, signed by employer

If opening your account online, you’ll also need the following:

  • The routing and account number of a U.S. Checking or savings account on which you are a signer or a debit or credit card number in your name, to fund your new Oregon State Credit Union account.
  • An active e-mail account
  • A printer (if opening your account online)
