Oregon State Credit Union has named long-time McMinnville resident Phillip Symons as its new branch manager for the McMinnville location scheduled to open at 170 NE 12th Street in November.
Symons was previously a senior risk manager with Pacific Northwest Farmers Cooperative. Prior to that he held leadership positions with Bunge North America, Mid-Columbia Producers, Cooperative Elevator Company and Citizen’s First Savings Bank.
“I am honored to have joined Oregon State Credit Union to open our newest branch in McMinnville. I am tremendously excited for the opportunity to build a team that will help create financial solutions to make lives better for all of our members, and to do it with unsurpassed member service,” said Symons.
"We’re very pleased to welcome Phillip," said Director of Regional Branch Services Peggy Mehl, who oversees the credit union’s eight branches in Lincoln, Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties. "We feel with his background, skills and expertise, he is the right person to lead our McMinnville team and bring our values of integrity, passion and member focus to McMinnville and the surrounding communities.”
Symons is an active volunteer in local youth sports. He coaches for the McMinnville Youth Football program and the McMinnville Parks & Rec Department. He lives in McMinnville with his wife and two children.
