Nomination process for the Board and Supervisory committees
The Oregon State Credit Union Board of Directors is composed of committed individuals from diverse backgrounds who are elected by our members. They set our strategic direction, protect members’ interests, and ensure that we operate with integrity and transparency. By shaping policy and supporting our leadership, the Board keeps our credit union strong and focused on serving our members and communities.
Working alongside the Board, the Supervisory Committee—appointed by the Directors—provides an essential layer of oversight. They review audits, verify financial accuracy, and confirm regulatory compliance, ensuring we remain secure, accountable, and member focused.
If you have an interest in serving on the Oregon State Credit Union Board of Directors or as a member of the Oregon State Credit Union Supervisory Committee, email Executive Services for more information.
The nomination and application process for those interested in running for election to the Board of Directors in 2027 will close on September 30, 2026. Applications received after that date will be considered for the 2028 elections.
Petition alternative for candidates to run for Board of Directors
Oregon State Credit Union members may also submit a petition to nominate a member to run for election to the Board by taking the following steps:
- Obtain a petition packet by emailing Executive Services — then complete it.
- Collect member signatures on the nominating petition form included with the petition packet. In accordance with credit union bylaws, at least 500 member signatures are required to nominate a candidate by petition.
- Note: Signers must be current members of Oregon State Credit Union. (A member is the primary account holder whose name appears first on an Oregon State Credit Union membership account).
- Return the fully completed packet to Oregon State Credit Union, attention: Nominating Committee.
Successful petition packages received by the Credit Union by October 31, 2026, would qualify for the Board elections in 2027. Successful petitions received after that deadline will instead qualify for the Board elections in 2028.
