Funds availability

Here are a few important details about when your money will be available.

Your ability to use funds deposited from a check

Our general policy is to make funds from your deposits available to you on the same business day we receive your deposit.  In many cases, funds are immediately available when deposited. Once they are available, you can withdraw the funds in cash or we will use the funds to pay checks that you have written.

If a hold does exist on your funds, you will have access to the first $125 on the day of your deposit and another $100 will be available the next business day.

If you make a deposit during business hours we will consider that day to be the day of your deposit. If you make a deposit after business hours, the deposit is made on the next business day. Saturday, Sunday, and many holidays are not counted as a business day.

Exceptions

  • New members who opened an account within the first 30 days may have check deposits held for nine business days.

  • New member deposits made at any ATMs will have funds held for nine business days.

  • Deposits made at Oregon State Credit Union ATMs will have funds held for two business days.
