Tomorrow’s Leaders Today (TLT) college scholarships for high school seniors

Each spring, Oregon State Credit Union awards ten $2,000 college scholarships to eligible high school seniors to help them pay for a college education.

Eligibility information 2021

 Applications for 2021 are open October 1, 2020 to February 28, 2021. Be sure to review the following qualifications:

  • Be a graduating high school senior with a minimum grade point average of 2.50 at a high school within our 24-county field of membership.

  • Be an Oregon State Credit Union member.

  • Have a TLT checking account before January 1, 2021.

  • Must attend a two-year or four-year Oregon college or university in the Fall of 2021.

  • Submit an application by February 28, 2021.

If you are selected as a semi-finalist, you will be notified by April 2021. At that time you will be asked to provide an official high school transcript, photo and references for your employment and volunteer activities.

Volunteer experience
Next, we would like you to share details about your volunteer experience during high school. Examples of qualifying volunteer activity include: non-profit organizations, fund raising events, social services, etc.
Provide details about the organizations or causes for which you volunteered. Also, please list the number of volunteer hours you donated to each organization. Make sure the sum of the hours matches the total volunteer hours you listed above. Include only the hours you volunteered during high school.

 
Extracurricular and work experience
Next, provide details about your extracurricular activities and work experience during high school. Extracurricular activities include school clubs, athletic teams, arts related, etc. Work experience can includes paid employment, work in a family business (paid or unpaid) or an internship.
Provide details about your extracurricular and/or work experience during high school. Also, please list the total number of hours you engaged in each activity listed. Make sure the sum of the hours listed here matches the total hours you indicated above.
